My heart's desire as a child growing up in rural Oklahoma (I had cows for neighbors) was to be a writer like Ernest Hemingway and live a life less ordinary. My heart chose adventure. At times I have followed my heart. And at other times I have betrayed it. Even those detours have led to some very pleasant surprises and amazing discoveries.

I am FINALLY taking my writing seriously ... and myself a little less seriously.

Oh yes. I love hiking & yoga & poetry & wine & anything, anything, anything that is beautiful & true.
